STOP COMPLAINING
Turning obstacles into opportunities
Some people get stuck at each small obstacle, while others manage to thrive because of the challenges they face. Conor speaks about consciously choosing the high path of disciplined, meaningful progress rather than the low path of noisy drama and victimhood.
Who doesn’t face obstacles in life? The challenge is not to live a life free of obstacles, but to see our problems with perspective.
This talk is about creating a culture for ourselves, our families and our organisations where bullshit excuses have no place, while courageous, resourceful action is celebrated, rewarded and encouraged.
If we don’t fill our days and weeks with high value activities, you will find that life gets filled by low value distractions.
It’s not in the way, it is on the way.

“I hired Conor to deliver an inspiring keynote to our top 250 most influential leaders across Europe. A senior IBM colleague had recommended Conor. From the initial meeting, Conor quickly understood the challenges we face. Finally the day came. The auditorium was full, and we faced one of the most inspiring sessions that we have ever had talking about success, and the ways to achieve it. Very energising. Big applause, and thank you Conor.”

“Hi, I’m Conor Neill, I speak and write about Persuasion, the art of Moving People to Action. I have the privilege of being father to two great little daughters. I live in Barcelona, Spain.
I have been writing articles, book reviews, lessons and making videos for over 10 years on my blog ‘Moving People to Action’. I have also published articles on a range of other outlets like Forbes, IESE, Insight, Quora, Lifehack or Venturebeat.
The one big question I dedicate most of my professional time on is: What is persuasion?
What does it take to move people to action?
What does it take to have impact when you communicate?
How can I inspire the people around me to be the best version of themselves?
These are questions that I answer. I answer these questions with tools that work for politicians, business leaders, entrepreneurs and professors.” — Conor
